Bylaws Committee

Committee Type: Ad-Hoc (i.e. Project-based), next convened 2023

Convened: October 2020 – April 2021

Current Chair: Mary McPherson

Charter: forthcoming

In fall / winter of 2020, the Committee currently reviewed + suggested amendments to the current ByLaws, last edited in 2011. The proposed amendments were shared at the DVCA Meeting on 1/20/2021 and were posted here for viewing before their final vote at the DVCA Meeting on 4/14/2021.

The proposed amendments passed unanimously in the final vote, and the approved current ByLaws are available here.

This committee convenes to propose periodic updates to the DVCA Bylaws. Maintaining the Bylaws keeps the mission relevant and the management and administration of the Association easier and in step with the times. When it is determined that there are significant enough changes that need to be made to the governing document, the Committee will form to manage proposed changes into a new version of the Bylaws, in keeping with the DVCA Policy Document.
